The Redesigned 2024 Nissan Ariya Electric SUV

Get ready to embark on a journey into the future with the newly redesigned 2024 Nissan Ariya Electric SUV. Breaking barriers and redefining the concept of electric vehicles (EVs), the Ariya is a testament to Nissan's commitment to innovation, sustainability, and cutting-edge technology.

Design that Inspires

The Ariya is built on an all-new electric vehicle platform, which means that it has been designed from the ground up to be powered by electricity. Its sleek, aerodynamic silhouette embodies a sense of modernity while embracing Nissan's signature style. The Ariya follows a new design theme called “Timeless Japanese Futurism,” which is inspired by Japanese designs and exudes power with grace and simplicity. With thin LED headlamps built of four 20-mm mini-projectors, a giant “aerodynamic shield” in place of a traditional grille, and drop-down LED DRLs, the Ariya exudes an undeniable sense of sophistication.

Electric Performance Redefined

Beneath its sleek exterior lies a powerful electric heart. The 2024 Nissan Ariya’s specs are designed to suit each person’s individual needs. The Venture+ model offers an impressive range of up to 304 miles on a single charge, allowing drivers to explore without boundaries. The base Engage trim offers slightly less range due to that model's smaller battery pack, which is rated for 216 miles per charge. Whether it's within busy city streets or winding country roads, the 2024 Ariya's all-electric powertrain delivers a smooth and exhilarating driving experience.

Innovation at Your Fingertips

The interior of the 2024 Nissan Ariya is spacious and modern, with a minimalist design that is both elegant and functional. The cabin is Nissan’s most daring interior yet, with a flat, low floor that creates a spacious feeling inside. The Ariya’s interior is complete with wood-trim pieces and haptic buttons on the dashboard. With its premium materials and customizable ambient lighting, the spacious cabin is designed to provide a sanctuary for both driver and passengers.

The centerpiece of the Ariya's interior is its innovative tech suite. The Nissan Intelligent Mobility system offers seamless connectivity while you’re on the go. A large touchscreen display provides access to all of the car’s functions, while a head-up display projects important information onto the windshield. Meanwhile, a Bose Premium Audio System delivers high-quality sound throughout the cabin. The infotainment system is intuitive and user-friendly, putting entertainment, navigation, and vehicle controls at your fingertips.

Safety Meets Intelligence

Safety is paramount in the Ariya. It’s equipped with Nissan’s ProPILOT Assist 2.0, which is a semi-autonomous driving system that can help drivers stay centered in their lane, maintain a safe distance from other vehicles, and navigate stop-and-go traffic. The Ariya also features Nissan’s e-Pedal, which allows drivers to accelerate and brake using only one pedal. From advanced driver-assistance features to intelligent emergency braking systems, the Ariya is engineered to prioritize your safety and the safety of those around you.

Embracing Sustainability

Beyond its impressive performance and futuristic design, the 2024 Ariya offers several benefits over traditional gasoline-powered vehicles. One of the most significant benefits of electric vehicles is that they produce zero tailpipe emissions, which means that they are much better for the environment than gasoline-powered vehicles. Additionally, electric vehicles require less maintenance than traditional vehicles because they have fewer moving parts and don’t require oil changes or tune-ups. As an all-electric vehicle, the 2024 Ariya contributes to reducing carbon emissions and minimizing its environmental footprint. By choosing the Ariya, drivers become part of a movement toward a more sustainable future.

The Future is Now

The 2024 Nissan Ariya Electric SUV isn't just a vehicle; it's a statement of Nissan's dedication to innovation and a sustainable tomorrow. With its striking design, exceptional performance, advanced technology, and commitment to the environment, the Ariya stands as a beacon of progress in the automotive industry.

Protecting Your Nissan During a Hurricane or Severe Weather

Summer may be over, but we’re still in the thick of hurricane season. While Florida usually gets the brunt of the storms, there are good chances that those strong residual winds, rains, and other terrifying weather will affect the Charlotte area as well. And when that happens, it’s crucial to protect your Nissan from the damage these strong storms can cause.

Storms can cause a lot of damage, especially if you’re unprepared. Falling trees or limbs, hail, debris blown around by the strong winds, and all of this and more can pose significant risks to a car sitting out on the street unprotected. And there’s nothing worse than waking up after a crazy storm to see your car dented or windows cracked or broken as a result. While your favorite local Nissan experts at Rock Hill Nissan are here to help repair any damage, we’d rather you avoid that situation completely. So here are some things you can do to keep your Nissan out of harm's way!

How to Protect Your Car During Hurricanes and Tropical Storms

Strong storms like hurricanes or even severe thunderstorms can produce some crazy weather conditions. These can include hail the size of quarters or larger that can fall at speeds faster than 100 miles per hour, fast and strong winds sometimes reaching speeds of 74 miles per hour, and incredible amounts of heavy rain averaging around 16 inches, all resulting in flooding from storm surges, personal and property damage, and more. If you’ve left your car out on the road in the middle of a hurricane, tropical storm, or even a severe thunderstorm, there’s a good chance that your car will be on the receiving end of some crazy damage from trees, debris, water, and a lot more. We’re here to help give you some tips on how to protect your car in the event of severe weather events and future-proof yourself a bit in the process.

Preparing Your Car For The Storm

Protecting your car from any potential damage is definitely the first thing you should be thinking about. There are a handful of things you can do to prep your car from the barrage of wind, rain, and more that is bound to come during any severe weather event.

  • Remove any crucial documents and personal items
  • Lock all doors and close windows and moon/sunroofs
  • Protect windows and lights with foam and duct tape
  • Set your hand/emergency brake to brace your car
  • Fill the gas tank
  • Use a car cover or large blanket/rug

The number one thing you want to do is secure any and all documents as well as personal items. This can include your insurance cards, registration, and any other important papers you may be keeping in your glove box. In the event of flooding, you definitely don’t want any of those papers to receive any severe water damage. Once you’ve got all you wanted to out of your car, you can begin adding layers of protection. Placing foam against the windows secured with duct tape will support your windows during intense winds. Setting your parking brake gives your car something to brace against in the event of flooding and winds. And of course, covering your car with a heavy blanket paired with a tarp will help protect against falling debris or hail. Filling your gas tank is a really good way to give yourself an out if you suddenly need to move your car or evacuate from your house or apartment. All of this, as well as anything else you come up with, will be great ways to protect your car the best you can from damage during a storm.

Where to Park Your Car During a Storm

Knowing where to park your car during a storm can give you a huge advantage and help you avoid serious damage. It should come as no surprise that parking under a tree or next to the water is probably not the greatest idea during an intense storm. You want a place that does more to protect your car and avoid anything that may easily break off and land on said car. Places like covered parking garages are very ideal, as they provide not only nearly complete coverage on all sides but often place your car at a higher elevation which can protect your car from flooding. You definitely want to avoid basement or low-level parking areas, as those will be the first places to flood during heavy rainfall. However, any enclosed parking space will be more ideal than an open-air parking lot, so if you have a parking garage best make use of it. And even if you’re car is protected on all sides, it’s still a good idea to implement all of the layers of protection. More protection is always a good idea.

Future-Proof Yourself

Before any serious storm, if you’re expecting the chance that your car may be damaged, it may be a good idea to take pictures of the condition of your car BEFORE the storm. Most car insurances do provide a level of natural disaster coverage. However, insurance also typically will look for any reason not to pay out that coverage. If you take pictures of the condition of your car before the storm, you have a solid baseline to compare any damage that may have taken place during the storm. And photo evidence is irrefutable in most cases.

Driving During a Severe Storm

Obviously, it’s not a great idea to head out on the road in the middle of a hurricane or other severe weather event. However, some situations are unavoidable, like having to evacuate from your home or apartment building, or driving back home and you get stuck in a storm. So if you’re going to be driving in the middle of one of the worst situations possible, be smart about it.

The number one thing to avoid is any flooded roads or washed-out bridges. Even if you have a decent off-road vehicle that’s prepared for situations like that, you likely don’t have the necessary training or experience to come out of that unscathed. Find a new route that takes a higher road. Another road hazard to watch for is fallen objects or downed power lines. Storms can bring down a whole manner of branches, whole trees, telephone poles, and power lines that can pose a great risk to you on the road. Don’t take the risk of trying to move the branch and definitely don’t touch downed power lines as they are likely still live and extremely dangerous. Stay in your car and find a way around or a completely new route.

The way you drive will also change depending on the situation. During low visibility and high winds and rain, it’s best to slow down as much as you can. Driving slow allows you to have more time to respond to stalled vehicles or road hazards, while also giving you more control against strong winds.

Stay Safe Out There

Hurricanes, tropical storms, and other forms of severe weather are no joke. They’ve accounted for billions of dollars of damage and countless deaths over the years and we don’t want you to fall victim to the increasing danger these severe weather events bring with them. While these tips are not a guarantee that you’ll avoid any and all danger or damage by any means, they are certainly a good start to protecting yourself and your property. To learn more, please visit https://www.ready.gov/hurricanes and stay safe out there! Remember, a car is replaceable, you are not.

Safe Street Parking in Charlotte 101

Escaping over the border into Charlotte for a bit of R&R can be truly enjoyable. However, the parking situation, like that of many larger cities, is less than ideal. Garages and parking lots tend to be pricey, which leaves street parking as the most cost-effective option.

As a Rock Hill resident, you know that parking downtown can be hard to come by, especially on weekends. With street parking as one of only a few options available to you, it's simply an unavoidable part of your life behind the wheel. So, if you have to park on the street, you may as well stay safe doing it. Below are some basic things every Rock Hill Nissan driver can do to ensure the safety of their vehicle when parking on the street.

Enjoy Your Visit Without Stressing About Street Parking

There are many fears when it comes to leaving your car parked on the street, but none compare to the idea of having to actually park. Parallel parking is something that many drivers struggle with, but it’s an important skill to master. So, how comfortable are you with parallel parking? More importantly, can you parallel park? Because if the answer to either of these questions is no, you may want to just pony up the twenty-or-so bucks required to gain access to an oversaturated parking garage. However, if you have the mettle to take on the tall task of parallel parking on a busy city street, keep reading. Whether it’s a Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, or Fiat, parallel parking is a must.

Easy Tips for Safe Street Parking in Charlotte

  • Read the street signs: A common joke among big-city drivers, street signs are something that should be simple to interpret but, oftentimes, are not. With differing messages, time restraints, and symbols all coexisting on the same small rectangular sign, parking legally on the street can require some focus and mental fortitude. Take your time, read the signs and ensure that you won't be returning to a freshly booted vehicle.
  • Park under street lights, not tree branches: If possible, it's always a good idea to park your car in a well-lit area. In general, the more visible your car is, the safer it will be. Parking under trees, on the other hand, should be avoided whenever possible. Trees shed debris with rain and wind and, on occasion, come down completely in severe weather. Not to mention bird poop is rather annoying, especially with a convertible.
  • Fold in side mirrors: One of the easiest ways to protect your car when parking on the street is by simply folding in your driver-side side mirror. This prevents an irresponsible driver from passing too close to your parked car, clipping off your mirror, and continuing on with their day, leaving you with the bill for repairs.
  • Take or hide your things and lock up: On average, over 80,000 unlocked cars are stolen each year. That's right, unlocked cars. So, while this may seem like an obvious tip, it is an important one. Lock your car, take your keys with you and be sure that no valuables are visible to people passing by and peeking in. Make sure potential thieves have no reason to be interested in your car or anything inside it.
  • Hey Siri, Drop a Pin: People are forgetful. We forget our keys, our phones, our wallets. Heck, sometimes we forget whether or not our kids are in the backseat. We also, on occasion, forget where we park. Prevent this issue by dropping a pin on your maps app before you leave your ride behind. Then, when you're ready to return, simply pull up the pin and find your ride in no time.

Worthwhile Ideas

  • Car wash: Getting your car washed about every two weeks is a great way to make sure your car looks presentable. Beyond that, it shows would-be thieves that you pay attention to your vehicle. Oftentimes, car thieves target vehicles that look neglected. The idea here is that they will have more time after the theft to do with the car what they want before the owner even notices it's gone. So, protect your car's exterior appearance and show people you care about your ride with frequent washes.
  • Snow cover: A snow cover or car blanket protects your car from all elements. Whether that's snow, hail, tree debris, or bird droppings, a cover is a great way to protect your ride and prevent passersby from seeing what's inside.
  • Sunshade: Over time, constant exposure to the sunlight will cause fading and cracks on your dash and other areas of your interior. A sunshade is a great way to protect your car's interior and prevent potential thieves from seeing something worth stealing in your car.
  • Catalytic converter shield: This may sound like an unnecessary precaution, but when you consider the fact that an experienced thief can steal a catalytic converter in about two minutes, that $350 shield is looking a lot better than a $2,000+ converter.

Explore Charlotte Without Worry

With more and more people moving to major metropolitan areas each year, parking in areas like Dayton is getting harder and harder to find, while inventory for car thieves has never been higher. However, if you follow these steps, you can rest easy knowing that you've done all you can to protect your car while it's parked on the street.

2021 Nissan Kicks

2021 Nissan Kicks

The Nissan Kicks is a fantastic subcompact SUV for anyone searching for plenty of cargo room at a low price. The Nissan Juke was replaced by this vehicle in 2018, although the Juke is still available in other parts of the world. It has an extensive list of standard features and has excellent fuel economy for its class. Those who primarily drive in the city and place a premium on practicality and value should carefully consider purchasing this vehicle.

Trims to Purchase

The 2021 Nissan Kicks will be available in three trim levels: SV, S, and SR. Though this is a highly attractive SUV, its engine, which should have been better, is the single flaw in an otherwise excellent package. AWD (All-Wheel Drive) (AWD) is not available since Nissan prioritized fuel economy over off-road performance for this SUV.

Exterior appearance of the 2021 Nissan Kicks available at Rock Hill Nissan

Exteriors:

The 2021 Nissan Kicks, as Nissan's smallest crossover, gets a style refresh over the previous year, with streamlined headlamps and tail lamps, reworked bumpers, a bigger grille (double V Motion grille), and a completely new 17-inch aluminum wheel design. The front of the lower lip is attractively extended. The bonnet design is simple, with bulges running from the front to the A-pillar.

On the sidewalls of the SV trim, color-matched mirror caps and door handles can be observed. The roof rails are metallic silver in color. At the back, a shark fin antenna can be seen. A new feature for 2021 is a mimicked rear diffuser section at the bottom of the car.

Engine Performance and Specifications:

The engine of this vehicle is a 1.6-liter inline-4 that produces 125 hp of power and 115 lb-ft of torque. A CVT is used to deliver power (Continuously Variable Transmission) here. It takes 9.7 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph. The vehicle has FWD (Front Wheel Drive) and has a City/highway fuel economy of 31 MPG/36 MPG. Clearly, this is not a car capable of competing in a drag race!

Interiors:

Inside the 2021 Nissan Kicks, significant alterations have been done to make it more appealing than previously. On the door panels, hard and basic polymers have been employed, with an aluminum finish. Door pockets of reasonable sizes can be seen here. The dashboard is also made of hard plastic, although it has a textured design. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are offered on an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

There are standard AC controls, as well as cubby holders beneath them. The stitch work on the armrest has been revised for 2021. There is good-quality, long-lasting textile upholstery, as well as manual seat controls for the drivers and co-passengers. Despite the fact that the Kicks is not a big SUV, headroom in the front is excellent.

The 2021 Nissan Kicks comes with a steering wheel with a flat bottom. In the instrument cluster, there is an analog speedometer. There are more than 25 cubic feet of rear cargo capacity here.

2021 Nissan Leaf Vs. 2021 Chevrolet Bolt

2021 Nissan Leaf Vs. 2021 Chevrolet Bolt

Both above hatchbacks offer various tech tools and confident acceleration, although they don't have the same appeal as the Tesla Model 3. However, the differences or similarities between the two electric vehicles are better highlighted by the following comparison:

  1. MSRP- The 2021 Chevrolet Bolt LT is significantly more expensive than the 2021 Nissan Leaf S. Consequently, buyers will have to change their budgets. In terms of cost per mile, however, there's not much choice between the two, which is only marginally better for the Bolt.
  2. Engine and Transmission- Both vehicles have electric motors coupled to single-speed automatic transmissions. A 147 hp electric motor and 40 kWh lithium-ion battery pack come standard on the Leaf LT. It might not seem like much power, but a more powerful 62kWh lithium-ion battery is also available in higher versions. Models are said to develop 214 hp. Compared to the LT, the Bolt has a 200hp electric motor for quick acceleration at higher trims, propelling it from 060mph in under 7 seconds.
  3. Driving Range- While the lower-powered battery in the 2021 Leaf can travel 149 miles on a full charge, the other covers that distance up to 226 miles. The 2021 Bolt again scores top marks with a range of 259 miles.
  4. Drivetrain- Both vehicles are available in only FWD (Front-Wheel-Drive), with no option for AWD (All-Wheel-Drive)
  5. Curb Weight- There’s not much to choose in terms of curb weight for the two hatches. While the Chevy Bolt reigns in at 3,563 lbs., the Nissan Leaf weighs 3,538 lbs.
  6. Combined Fuel Economy- For most buyers, the main reason for choosing an electric vehicle is high mileage. Expect the Bolt to be able to offer a combined fuel economy of 118 MPGe compared to 112 MPGe for the Leaf.
  7. External Styling- Most customers will find the 2021 Nissan Leaf's exterior design to be more upmarket than the 2021 Chevrolet Bolt. The V-Motion grille at the front of the Leaf really makes this hatch stand out. While the Leaf looks sleeker and more streamlined, GM's engineers tried to give the Bolt a muscular look.
  8. Safety Technologies- Automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane departure warning are standard safety features as part of a Leaf safety program called ProPilot Assist. While imperfect on a few fronts, it reduces the stress of driving in congested areas. Unfortunately, the Bolt doesn't even have adaptive cruise control; Standard Leaf security features are optional here.
  9. Trunk Space- The Leaf clearly beats the Bolt in terms of trunk volume. Behind the second row of seats, the Bolt has just 16.9 cubic feet of capacity. That's less space than the 23.6-cubic-foot Leaf. Interestingly, the Bolt's cargo space increases to 56.6 cubic feet with the rear seats folded, which is significantly more than the Leaf's 30 cubic feet.

Unwanted Car Sounds and What they Mean

Unwanted Car Sounds and What they Mean

Being a car owner, having your car making disturbing sounds can be quite a distressing factor. If you have been experiencing any of such sounds, it is time to acquire learning about the same.

Here are a few of the unwanted car sounds and their significance.

  1. Clunking:

If the car makes a clunking sound while using the brakes, it might mean that there is significant damage to the calipers, brake discs, or pads. If you hear the sound while driving over bumps, you might need to inspect the suspension and the exhaust system of your car. However, if the car clunks while turning corners, it could result from wheels and tires, steering, worn-out wheel bearings.

  1. Hissing:

A hissing sound indicates a leak caused in the fluid submerging onto a hot part of an engine, like a radiator. If this happens while accelerating, it can be a vacuum leak from the small hoses caused around the intake of the engine’s air.

  1. Knocking:

A knocking sound can be a sign of something being seriously wrong. It is recommended to get it checked at the earliest. Only an expert will be able to guide you and evaluate the problem. Knocking is sometimes referred to as an engine condition; however, it sounds like a faint metallic ping while accelerating. It can essentially come from an engine that is poorly tuned, with a low octane rating.

  1. Rattling:

A sound like rattling might indicate something is loose. It could also result from the suspension or the exhaust system coming undone, and hence must be checked at the earliest.

  1. Roaring:

Roaring or a noisy exhaust while accelerating tends to point firmly to an old exhaust system that has become damaged. It has worsened to a situation where the muffler, a part responsible for keeping the car quiet, is no longer doing its job. The problem does not tend to cause any further grave damage. However, it can let exhaust emissions come to the cabin.

  1. Whistling:

As dramatic as it sounds, a whistling sound coming anywhere from beneath the hood can mean severe danger. It might mean that an engine has experienced a vacuum leak from one of the hoses. Although it can be tricky to trace, however, is not that a hassle to get it fixed.

  1. Squealing:

The sound is one of the most common sounds which tend to come from beneath the car hood. Such a sound means that one of the belt's drive accessories is slipping on a pulley. However, when it comes from the wheels, it might mean that you have worn-out brake pads or any other brake system concern. If it comes from the tires, you must turn the cap around the right way and operate the accelerator smoothly.

Why is it Important to Get a Brake Service?

Why is it Important to Get a Brake Service?

There is no better way to explain the importance of brakes in a car than stating that they stop the vehicle. In situations where the vehicle in the front is close, there are many instances in which effective brakes have prevented a vehicle from bashing into the one in front. Routine brake inspections are one of the most important safety requirements for any roadworthy vehicle.

Signs to Indicate That Brakes Need Repair:

Modern brake pads make use of ABS (Antilock Braking System) and other technologies that lost longer and more powerful than before. Parts of a vehicle’s brake system include drum brakes, disc brakes, master cylinder, wheel speed sensors, brake pedals, ABS Control Module, and brake booster. Problems in one or more of these can result in brake failure. The signs to show that a vehicle’s brakes need repairs are as follows:

  1. Squeaking, grinding, or clicking noises upon applying the brakes.
  2. Vibrations in the brake pedal when it is pressed.
  3. Brakes engage very late, with the pedal almost touching the floor.
  4. Slight taps on the brake pedal make it grab.
  5. The brake light displays continuously on the tachometer.
  6. If the vehicle pulls to one side upon braking, there could be problem with a brake caliper.

Ensure Regular Maintenance Checks:

One way to ensure that life-and-death situations due to failing brakes never occur is to get vehicle maintenance done regularly at the service center. The experienced mechanics will be able to notice if brake calipers or brake shoes are becoming weak and will let customers know about the same. Depending upon the customer’s preference, these may or may not be changed.

Apart from the above, customers also need to drive their vehicles carefully and not overuse their brakes. Braking at the last moment every time is not a good habit since it not only decreases brake pad life quickly, but it is also risky for the person driving behind.

What Happens During a Brake Job?

A lot of maintenance money can be saved if brakes are inspected on a timely basis. Complete brake jobs include the following tasks:

  • Inspection of the whole brake system to know the conditions of its components.
  • Carrying out repairs to make the car brake as effectively as it did before the problem.
  • Changing the complete brake system or certain components.

During the visual inspection of the braking system, the lining thickness at the front and rear, condition of the lines, wheel cylinders, and hoses are looked at closely. The condition of the brake fluid and its color are also checked here. It is also checked if ABS lights come on when the ignition is turned on or not.

Inspection is Most Important:

The inspection phase is the most important phase in repairing a vehicle’s brakes. This is the stage in which the problem is examined, and technicians aim to reach the root of the problem. It could either be a single problem or a combination of many. It is the inspection of the problem that takes the maximum amount of time.

Brake Pedal Height:

Mechanics should check the height of the brake pedal, along with the brake pedal reserve distance and measuring free play. All the measurements need to be compared with the vehicle’s inspections.

What to Bring to the Dealership when Buying a Car

What to Bring to the Dealership when Buying a Car

There is always visible excitement in a household that is planning to buy a new car. The decision to make the purchase is made several months before. However, individuals purchasing vehicles must remember to do their homework and not depend entirely on the dealerships. Despite the excitement, there is a fair amount of stress, especially in relation to the car buying process. Irrespective of how difficult it might seem, there are many strategies that can help buyers survive the dealership’s volleys.

What Should Be Known?

Knowledge about different steps in a car buying process is helpful in ensuring that the buyer plays the right amount, which is neither too much nor too less. A lot of this information can be found on the Internet, but it would be good to go with someone who’s already bought a car previously. Such a person will be able to curb a salesman’s over-enthusiasm and help the buyer buy what is necessary, and not always what he or she is being sold.

Customer satisfaction has become more important over the years though, and now salespersons allow customers to take their own destinations. Despite this, here are points that potential buyers must know about:

  1. Insurance Agent- It is beneficial to speak to an insurance agent about the cost of insurance of model of the vehicle being purchased. This way, potential buyers will not be surprised about the cost of insurance once they commit to a new vehicle. They will also know when they must tell the insurers that they have bought new vehicles.
  2. Pre-Approved Loan- Speak to a familiar bank or credit union and get a pre-approved car loan. This will tell the loan amount and the interest rate which the buyer qualifies for. Remember that every enquiry about credit is a look into the credit report, and this must be done in a cautious manner. Never fill a credit application with a dealer without taking a test drive. Try to not take the dealership’s option for financing the vehicle. This is because in most cases, dealers themselves are intermediaries between outside loan companies and customers.
  3. Carry Documents- Always remember to carry important documents such as proof of insurance and driving license while visiting the dealership. This will ensure that no buyer must unnecessarily return home or come back another day to get the deal. Apart from this, no person should be driving his or her vehicles without these documents anyway.
  4. Trading a Vehicle- Trading in a vehicle requires a little more homework than what may be visible at the outset. The vehicle’s certificate of title is necessary here, along with its present registration, all the keys, and the owner’s manual. Remember that to get a good price, it is important to rectify the car as per its years of usage. How to do Your Part to Support Environmental Protection

How to do Your Part to Support Environmental Protection

Most of the choices we make impact our environment, which includes other species of animals and global climate. Simple day-today activities such as switching off lights and fans while leaving from home are also important for decreasing carbon footprint. Even sustainable fashion, which is made from non-toxic materials, is also meant to contribute towards the environment.

Steps Toward Sustainability:

  1. Think Before Shopping: Recycling and reusing materials is more relevant today than ever before. Every product leaves behind its footprint on the environment, from the materials used to make it to the pollution from it during manufacturing, right up to the packaging stage. In other words, buy it only when it is necessary, and try to insist on minimum packaging.
  2. Stay Away from Plastics: Once plastics enter the system, they cannot be eliminated easily. Billions of plastic pieces can be found across ocean surfaces, with several seals, seabirds, and other marine lives getting stuck year after year. On the individual front, it is possible to help by making use of reusable bags while shopping. As much as possible, avoid the products packaged in plastic.
  3. Look at Labels Carefully: From clothes to coffee and fruits, the number of options for us is simply massive. However, there are some clear names when it comes to protecting the environment. As an example, “shade grown” coffee is a suitable option for ensuring the upkeep of forest habitats for different animal species. Similarly, organic food, though more costly, keeps pesticides away from water and land.
  4. Drink Water in Reusable Containers: Individuals must skip the use of bottled water as much as possible, largely because such bottles are harmful for wildlife and one’s health. Instead, water coming from the faucet at home is free and has already done through a fair number of quality checks.
  5. Change Driving Habits: Carpooling, biking, or walking helps to bring down an individual’s carbon footprint to a great extent. Errands can also be combined, so that fewer trips are undertaken to purchase items. Tune up your car from time to time so that fuel efficiency can be improved.
  6. Stand Up for The Environment: The only way to improve the environment is to take a stand for the same and raise a voice if necessary. It would help to support candidates who have strong environment platforms. Representatives of such groups should be urged to fight climate change, restrict emission of greenhouse gases, and protect public lands.
  7. Make Homes Green: If homes are kept in good shape, they can increase energy efficiency. Energy saving windows and insulation are very important for all homes, along with energy saving light bulbs. Several states are now giving incentives to make homes green, or sustainable. Many a times, these incentives are available at no extra cost.
  8. Go Vegetarian: The meat industry is responsible for using a huge amount of water and producing greenhouse gases and pollution. Edible food in a country must also include vegetarian food. At present, non-vegetarian food takes away a huge chunk of resources in America.

It is never too late to make efforts towards environment preservation. For Volunteering opportunities go to https://www.cityofrockhill.com/departments/public-works/more/public-works/environmental-education-beautification/rock-hill-clean-green for more information.
